The Overland Track in Tasmania is one of the world’s great wilderness walks. Stretching 65 kilometres from Cradle Mountain to Lake St Clair, it takes hikers through a dramatic and ever-changing landscape of alpine peaks, ancient rainforests, glacial valleys, and rugged moorlands. Completing the Overland Track is a bucket-list experience—but reaching the trail shouldn’t be the hardest part of the journey.
That’s where the Overland Track Shuttle by eGuide comes in.
The Overland Track Shuttle is widely regarded as the most reliable and convenient way to access the Overland Track Tasmania. With daily services from Launceston to Cradle Mountain and return shuttles from Lake St Clair, it’s designed specifically for hikers tackling this iconic route. The service is trusted by thousands of walkers each season and offers peace of mind from start to finish.
Hikers are picked up directly from their Launceston accommodation or the airport and taken straight to the Cradle Mountain Visitor Centre—no changes, no complications. At the end of the track, the shuttle collects hikers from Lake St Clair and returns them safely to Launceston, with optional drop-offs in Deloraine or Sheffield for added convenience.
What sets the Overland Track Shuttle apart is its flexibility and support. There’s no payment required upfront, bookings can be changed easily, and full refunds are available if plans shift. Secure luggage storage is also available while hikers are out on the trail.
For added reassurance, eGuide’s team is available throughout the trip—ready to assist if a hiker needs to leave the track early, pass a message home, or adjust pick-up arrangements. This is more than just transport; it’s a service built by people who understand the Overland Track and care about those who walk it.
The Overland Track Shuttle is suitable for solo hikers, couples, groups, and private transfers. Custom pick-up and drop-off options are available from locations across Tasmania, including Devonport and Hobart, making it the most comprehensive Overland Track transport service available.
